Most casual classes are based on a specific skill set (example – Walkover Class) and some require prerequisite skills from the level or skill set below. Open Gyms are are a little different so please check them out. If you’re not sure of which classes would suit you and your current tumbling level, give the office a call or speak with your coach.
Tuesdays 5 – 6pm
This class is designed for those who wish to go up a level in the All Star program into Level 1 Elite or Level 2. Athletes will be taken through drills and exercises to build the strength, flexibility and timing for walkovers and handsprings. Athletes must have a bridge to attend the class.
Mondays 5 – 6pm
Athletes will work on developing their Back Tuck or Back Layout, using drills, timing exercises and conditioning circuits. Athletes must be able to perform multiple handsprings in a row in both standing and tumbling sequences in order to participate in the class.
Wednesdays 5 – 6pm
In the twisting class athletes will work on their single and double twisting layouts, as well as their Standing Fulls and specialty skills (ex – Arabian step outs etc). Athletes must have at minimum a strong layout in order to participate in this class.
Times to be confirmed
Open gym sessions go for and hour and a half and allow athletes to work on whatever skills they wish (within reason). The session is supervised by a coach with basic direction provided mainly around safety. There is no coaches spotting skills. Athletes are free to use any equipment they like.
