One of our MCA parents, Michele McArdle, is an ambassador for a charity called One Girl and is currently raising awareness so that girls in Sierra Leone, West Africa can have access to education. Part of the campaign is called ‘Do It In A Dress’ and involves participating in ‘challenges’ while wearing a school dress. Michele has been wearing a school dress since August to raise awareness and in that time has raised a huge $2440!
At MCA our club members are largely girls and women who have access to great education here in Australia. We were delighted to be able to do our bit so we organised the MCA Falcons and the MCA Peacocks to each have a Do It In A Dress training session, and Michele took some pictures and video of the girls for her blog. Check out the footage below and if you have a chance, find out more about the great cause here.
