We wanted to give you an update on MCA and its wider reach outside of our gym in Box Hill. For just over a year now, MCA has been owned by the Belgravia Group with Danelle and Edward continuing in their roles managing MCA and its related activities.
Through their continued leadership the organisation has grown, with MCA now becoming a Foundation Gym within the newly formed Belgravia All Star Group – a dedicated network of Belgravia owned cheer gyms around Australia. Although this is not news to staff and to many of our athletes and families, we noticed that we hadn’t updated our website and info pack with the news and wanted to ensure we were being open and transparent with our whole community.
So what is the Belgravia All Star Group?
The Belgravia All Star group currently comprises of 5 cheer locations operating throughout Victoria and South Australia, with the Head Office Staff, Programs and resources built from within our amazing people and processes developed at MCA Box Hill. Edward is the CEO of the Group and Danelle is the National Operations Manager overseeing all locations, but are both still based in Box Hill. The Belgravia Group, the parent company, is a Leisure & Fitness organisation with significant interests in Gymnastics, Dance, Swimming, Golf and other sporting / leisure pursuits (now including Cheer!).
This structure marks a new and exciting chapter for MCA as we build a wider network of outstanding cheer programs under the Belgravia All Star banner. Being part of this group opens the door to greater opportunities, resources, and connections, supporting our athletes and teams as we continue to grow and thrive.
So what’s going to change about the gym?
Rest assured, nothing has or will change in terms of the day-to-day operations at Box Hill – everything runs as normal. The same as the last year and the year before, you’ll continue to see the same friendly faces, with Danelle and Edward still remaining an integral part of MCA, continuing to lead, support (and coach) our athletes, families, and community as always – they’re just in charge of several gyms now, not just Box Hill.
What does it mean for me?
This growing network means that there will be greater opportunities for our staff and athletes with extra opportunities for guest coaches, clinics, camps, tours and resources at a gym level. We’ve already had a taste of this partnership in action during our recent New Zealand trip, where athletes from 3 different clubs within the Belgravia network came together to create the team. The trip was a huge success – the team achieved 1st Place, Non-Tumble Grand Champion, and a Bid to Hawaii! 🏆🌴 We’re excited to see even more opportunities like this in the future.
Are there any changes at all?
There is one slight change – we are excited to announce that our End-of-Year Showcase has been renamed as the Belgravia End-of-Year Showcase. This special event will bring together MCA alongside our Victorian sister clubs from across the Belgravia All Star Group, giving our MCA families a chance to experience the energy and spirit of our extended All Star community.
We can’t wait to celebrate this milestone together at Showcase and we look forward to an exciting future ahead for MCA! If you have any questions or wish to know, please talk to any of our office staff, or send an email through to us!
